climate The Colac District in the Geelong Wine Region includes wineries west of Geelong and north of Apollo Bay near the townships of Colac, Barongarook, Alvie, Cororooke an Irrewarra. The town of Colac is the gateway to the string of volcanic lakes in Victoria`s Western District and it lies at the base of the magnificent Otway Ranges and the wonders on the famous Great Ocean Road to the south. The Otways offer wonderful attractions and activities which will charms visitors. The National Park which occupies much of Cape Otway is fantastic for bushwalkers, mountain bikers, campers, surfers and anglers.
