climate The Illawarra Wine Region boasts a spectacular coastal escarpment, with vertical cliffs descending to a narrow coastal strip beautiful beaches and surfing locations, located about an hour from Sydney. Wollongong has recently been transformed from an industrial city to a trendy weekend escape and features great entertainment and lots of attractions and activities.
