The Nullarbor Wine Region includes wineries in the far west, desert area of South Australia near Fowlers Bay, Nundroo, Coorabie, Yalata on the edge of the Nullarbor Plain. A test vineyard was planted at Nundroo on the far west coast of South Australiath the aim of developing an export market. Nundroo is an isolated flatlands of the Nullarbor Plain between Ceduna and Nullarbor. It lies at the eastern border of the Great Australian Bight about 1014 km west of Adelaide and 555 km northwest of Port Lincoln. You can stay at the Nundroo Hotel Motel complex that is close to beach and good fishing areas.. The motel has seventeen rooms, with air-conditioning, a swimming pool and a kiosk with takeaway foods, backpacker units. Fowler's Bay is located just a couple of hours drive from the Head of Bight. It is a very popular destination during the whale watching season from May to October. you can enjoy one the cruises and see the migrating Southern Right Whales that breed in the Bight.
