Mount Eliza Wine District

Stanleys Wine District includes vineyards and wineries in the Mornington Peninsula Region between Merricks North, Merricks and Red Hill South, near Stanleys Road. This area has an abundance of fresh food and cellar door outlets. Just cruise along the scenic coastline or along the quiet country roads and see the green rolling hills dotted with vineyards, and olive groves, fresh seafood stalls and cafes, waterfront cafes and restaurants. Follow the roadside signs to fresh produce stalls and outlets. Visit the thriving and lively local food markets and arts and craft outlets. You can even pick your own cherries, fruit ands berries or buy a lot of fresh winter vegetables, herbs and olives and more processed products such as jams and conserves. There is huge range of dining experiences in the region - from lovely intimate cafes, to excellent hotels and finally to the 4 and 5 star restaurants that offer fine foods and wonderful views. The local fresh Produce is showcased at many popular gourmet events throughout the year. The biannual Mornington Peninsula Gourmet Regional Awards recognize excellence in dining experiences.
