The Cootamundra Wine District is located about 350 km south-west of Sydney and is part
of the Gundagai Wine Region in Southern New South Wales. Cootamundra is a thriving a
nd productive agricultural area based on crops such as canola, and is famous as
the place where Australia's greatest cricket batsman, Sir Donald Bradman,
was born. Visit the Sir Donald Bradman Birthplace Museum, which is a r
estored cottage filled with a variety of fabulous cricketing memorabilia.
See the flora, birdlife and wonderful natural habitats of Pioneer Park,
and visit the Art and Cultural Centre. Enjoy tasting the local food produce at the Visitor Information Centre and take a tour of the local wineries.
