The Central Griffith Wine District includes wineries, vineyards and cellar doors that are close to the central Business Area of Griffith, in the Riverina Wine Region in southern New South Wales. There are several other districts for other areas close to Griffith (see below). Griffith is well known for its citrus orchards and wineries especially the large McWilliams Hanwood Estate, De Bortoli Wines and Melange Wines. Griffith offers a diverse and thriving culture and entertainment and a welcoming cosmopolitan atmosphere based on its Italian migrant heritage. Griffith is famous for its stylish boutique restaurants, cafes and wineries and its diverse range of retail outlets for crafts, antiques and local produce. The Regional Art Gallery is also renowned. The scenic Lake Wyangan offers an great
venue for many water sports, canoeing, kayaking, camping, sailing and fishing. Local attractions include the Leeton Sunrice Centre. the La Festa festival held in April Griffith, in April, the unWINEd in the Riverina Festival held in June.
