Pemberton West District

The Pemberton West District in the Pemberton Wine Region, south of Perth, includes the area west of the township of Pemberton. Pemberton WA is a charming timber town that has recently developed a reputation for fabulous local gourmet produce including outstanding local wines. You can explore the magnificent forests by hiking along the many bush tracks, tours by four wheel drive, guided eco-tours and horseback adventures. You can enjoy spectacular views by climbing up Pemberton's climbing trees, You can also paddle a canoe or kayak around Pemberton's spectacular lakes, rivers and estuary waters. You can also visit the largest inland dune system in the Southern Hemisphere. The area has many local art and craft galleries, including special wood craft outlets. Learn about the history of Pemberton's timber milling days, tour a timber mill, ride a steam train and taste some unique Aboriginal bush tucker. Pemberton also has a fabulous reputation for its wine and gourmet produce. Pemberton is a great base to stay and explore the south west, with Busselton, Margaret River and the Valley of the Giants only an hour-and-a-half away.
