climate The Beaconsfield Wine District includes wineries in the West Gippsland Region between Melbourne and Warragul and includes the towns of Emerald, Cockatoo, Gembrook, Packenham, and Beaconsfield. The renowned tourist town of Cockatoo is located about 50 km south-east from Melbourne in the Dandenong Ranges.
