Goomeri District, Darling Downs
The Goomeri District includes wineries near the small town of Goomeri north east of Moffdatdale and Murgon. It includes the towns of Kinbombi, Manyung and Boonara. Goomeri is a former timber town that retains a relaxed and charming rural atmosphere.
Many of Goomeri’s buildings were constructed in the 1920s and retain all their original charm. Goomeri is home to Australia’s only Pumpkin Festival, which is held annually on the last weekend in May and features the exciting ‘Great Australian Pumpkin Roll’. The Festival draws thousands of people from all over south-east Queensland.
The South Burnett Wine Region includes five districts :
Bunya Mountains ;

Kingaroy ;
Moffatdale & Murgon ;
Nanango .
