Stanhope Wine District
The Stanhope Wine District includes wineries in the north-western parts of the Lower Goulburn Valley Region, west of Shepparton, in the vicinity of Rushmore, Stanhope, Corop, Coonabbin, Rochester and Elmore. The district is located less then 90 minutes north of Melbourne in the famous Gouburn Valley Irrigation Area farming area that is famous for its dairy, stone fruit and pear production. Stanhope is a small dairy town in north central Victoria, located about 40 km from Shepparton and 230 km north of Melbourne. Just a short drive north from Stanhope is the delightful town of Kyabram and the famous Fauna Park which occupies about 55 hectares of wetlands and plains. The fauna park, which has won more than five tourism and environmental awards and has more than 55 species of animals and birds
on display. The renowned Golden Cow dairy centre and tourist farm at Tongala, is a great place for information,
local souvenirs and wondeful meals and what is claimed to be the ‘the world’s best milkshakes’.
The neighbouring town of Rushworth has strong heritage links with the Gold Rush era and features many fine
heritage buildings, mining relics and is surrounded by several outstanding nature and heritage reserves including the
Whroo Historic Reserve, Rushworth State Forest and the Reedy Swamp Wildlife Reserve.
The Lower Goulburn Valley Wine Region includes three districts :
Stanhope ;

Shepparton and this region adjoins the
Nagambie Lakes Wine District and Region

Our vineyard property is located just 17kms South East of Echuca via the Echuca-Kyabram road and is well sign posted. We are only 500 metres from the main road and the large white hail net over the persimmon orchard is a distinctive landmark. We invite you to visit our cellar door for a wonderful wine tasting experience to taste a variety of aged wines including: Brunello, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz rose, Merlot, Semillon, Shiraz and our classic sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut.
