The Gawler Wine District includes wineries between the townships of Gawler and Sandy Creek at the southern end of the Barossa Valley
Wine Region, about 45 km north of Adelaide. Gawler lies at the junction of the North and South Para rivers, which are
tributaries Gawler River. Gawler is home of Gawler Microlights and you can enjoy an instructional twenty minute
flight around the local area. The aim is to familiarise you with the handling and safety aspects of microlight
flying and to see whether it is an activity you would like to pursue.Your instructor will offer you the chance
to take the controls after showing you the basic skills.
Gawler District is the home to the famous Concordia Fruit Wines and a number of boutique wineries.
