The Dungog Wine District is located in the Lower Hunter Wine Region and includes the area surrounding the rural service centre and tourist destination of Dungog, which is located about 230 km north of Sydney. The town has a very scenic setting and is surrounded by magnificent rolling hills that are mostly used for dairying and beef cattle. Dungog has many natural reserves and National Parks offering a rich array of scenery, attrctions and things to do. There are delightful mountain ranges, lovely freshwater streams and lots of places for bushwalking, mountain biking and camping. The main street has many fine historic buildings. Dungog is the gateway to the magnificent Barrington Tops National Park, which is very popular with nature lovers. Local attrctions and activities include: # Tour of
