Lovedale - Greta Wine District
The Lovedale Greta Wine District includes wineries the northern end of the Lovedale Wine Region in the Hunter Valley Wine Region, north of Sydney. The area includes the wineries along Tuckers Lane, Camp Road between North Rothbury and the township pf Greta on the New England Highway. There are many boutique wineries in the Lovedale area and there is a wonderful of fresh food products in the area. The neighbouring Upper Hunter, Broke Fordwich, Lower Hunter and Pokolbin Regions provide additional opportunities for winery tours in the area. There are a range of guided tours available in the area and excellent accommodation options. Join the famous Lovedale Long Lunch, an event which offers food and wine tastings at seven local wineries as well as music, art and entertainment. Greta is located
on the New England Highway between Maitland and Singleton. North-east of Greta is the renowned Wyndham Estate Winery, that opens daily from 10.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m., and offers barbecue and picnic areas, wine and food tastings, a restaurant, cellar-door sales and a wine museum. Opera in the Vineyard is held annually in October. Join the Jump Up Creek Vineyard Tours that offer mini coach tours of the Pokolbin Vineyards and also local historic towns (Cessnock, Maitland, Wollombi, Morpeth, Singleton).
