Gosford Wine District, NSW

The Gosford Wine District is located in the heart of the Central Coast Wine Region about 80 km north of Sydney on the magnificent coastal waterway of Brisbane Water, and is surrounded by natural reserves, forests, the lower Hawkesbury River and various lakes. Gosford is the major commercial centre for the central coast and is known for its wonderful natural setting, host of tourist attractions, wonderful facilities and thriving entertainment and community events. Local attractions and activities include: # Enjoying the fabulous local beaches, boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing on Brisbane Water and the lower Hawkesbury estuary # Explore local heritage at Henry Kendall’s Cottage and Historical Museum, which was built by convict labour from hand-hewn local sandstone in 1836. # Enjoy the art displays and Japanese Gardens at the Gosford Regional Gallery and Arts Centre # Visit the Australian Reptile Park and s ee wonderful animal and educational displays.# Explore the Ourimbah’s Australian Rainforest Sanctuary. # Enjoy the Australian Springtime Flora Festival in September. # Bushwalking, camping and all the wide range o f recreational opportunities of Brisbane Water National Park. # The Miniature steam trains at the displays hosted by the Central Coast Steam Model Co-op.

We are a boutique distillery tucked away on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales. Owned by herbalist and distiller Philip Moore, Distillery Botanica is home to an array of award winning tipples including Moore’s Dry Gin and Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur. Our Distillery is set among three acres of beautiful gardens, which have been here for nearly fifty years. Perhaps some of you might even remember our space as ‘The Fragrant Gardens’, a much loved, iconic local attraction.

There is a constantly changing selection throughout the year to reflect the changing seasons. You may find wines such as Elderberry, Mango, Fig Passionfruit, Plum, Strawberry, Our famous Firewater, a fruit wine made from Sweet Oranges and Chilli or Lime and Parsley.
