Morisset Wine District, NSW
The Morisset Wine District is located in the area between the Watagan Mountains and Lake Macquarie, centred on the modern community of Morisset which is located about 110 km north of Sydney and about 50 km south west of Newcastle. It is part of the Central Coast Wine Region. There are a wonderful range of attractions and excellent facilities for a wide range of recreational activities. The major natural assets are the natural areas of the Watagan Mountains, offering bushwalking and camping in the temperate rainforest with waterfalls, sandstone cliffs, and the waterways Lake Macquarie for enjoying boating, fishing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming, and the beautiful beaches along the coast.
