Queanbeyan Wine District

The Queanbeyan Wine District is centred on the town Queanbeyan which has always been oddly placed right next to Canberra, but remaining very much part of New South Wales. It is located on the Queanbeyan River about 300 km south-west of Sydney and is a relaxed city and thriving city with an enthusiastic community. It is the gateway to the Southern Tablelands with its many heritage villages such as Braidwood and Bungendore. There are many attractions and great facilities for a wide range of activities in Queanbeyan ad the surrounding area; # You can explore the surrounding National Parks and Nature Reserves. go camping and to enjoy bushwalking, 4WD adventures and ecotours. # Go fishing in the Googong Reservoir # Enjoy a steam-train ride south to Royalla and back. # Visit the Queanbeyan Show in November with its rural displays, competitions and animal shows. # Visit the Queanbeyan Historical Museum located in the heritage-listed police sergeant's residence. # Visit the Q Performing Arts Centre in the centre of Queanbeyan.
