The Eden Wine District is centred on the Historic whaling town of Eden, and the area surrounding Twofold Bay in the Far South Coast of New South Wales Region, located about 475 km south of Sydney. This area is renowned for its whale watching and heritage as a whaling town that is showcased at the The Killer Whale Museum. The humpback whales and southern right whales migrate along the south coast offshore of Eden between May and November each year and provide wonderful experiences for passengers aboard comfortable and well-appointed whale-watching cruises that operate from Eden. You can also see seals, bottlenose dolphins, a variety of birdlife and penguins found around the bay. Eden is surrounded to the north and south by the Ben Boyd National Park which includes fabulous coastal landscapes,
offshore, headland and beach fishing, surfing beaches and eucalypt forests proving excellent conditions for bushwalking,
camping, mountain biking and ecotours. The major local industries are timber, tuna fishing and tourism, with a
delightful array of fresh food outlets an wineries in the surrounding area. You can go wreck diving and explore

Visit during the Eden Whale Festival, in October/November, which features a thrilling range of events
and attractions including art shows, marine displays, street performers, music and carnival rides. Y
