The Far South Coast Wine Region includes the coastal areas known as the The Eurobodalla Nature Coast (towns: Batemans Bay, Narooma, Moruya, Bodalla, Tuross, Mogo and Nelligen) and the Sapphire Coast (towns: Bega, Bomala, Bermagui, Eden, Merimbula, Pambula, Wonboyne). The Far South Coast includes a wide range of beautiful coastal landscapes, nature reserves, beaches, rivers and waterways. The rugged mountains in the hinterland of the region provide wonderful opportunities for ecotourism, bushwalking, hiking and camping. The major agricultural area is surrounding the inland town of Bega that lies at the junction of the Bega and Brogo Rivers. Bega is renowned for its dairy products, especially its cheeses.
