Guildford Wine District
The Guildford Wine District includes vineyards and wineries in the Swan Valley Wine Region in the
area surrounding the township of Guildford. Guildford is an outer rural suburb of Perth located on
the Great Eastern Highway about 14 km from the centre of Perth. The historic market town and inland port of Guildford is as old as Perth and Fremantle and was established because it was located at the upper navigation limit on the Swan River and is surrounded by lands with fertile soils that could sustain agriculture. Local attractions include: # Swan Valley Heritage Trail, which combines the Historic Guildford Walk with a delightful 40 km drive along the Swan Valley from Upper Swan to Guildford. # Historic Walk around Guildford # Visit Woodbridge and Midland # Guildford to York Heritage Trail, which
has thirteen intriguing stopping points on the route from Guildford to York via the
Great Eastern and Great Southern Highways.
