The Warburton Wine District is part of the Yarra Valley Wine Region includes vineyards and wineries near the townships of Wesburn, Millgrove, Warburton, Warburton East and Briannia Creek, about 50km east of Melbourne. Warburton is located in the forested upper reaches of the Yarra River, that features lush tall forests of native mountain ash. Walk, go camping, or ride on your bike along the challenging 40 km long Warburton Rail Trail that follows an old railway line from Warburton to Lilydale. See LaLa Falls and the walk through rainforest of myrtle beech trees to see the renowned Ada Tree mountain ash, which is over 300 years old. Stroll high up out in the canopies of the huge eucalyptus trees along the famous skywalk facility at Mount Donna Buang Rainforest Gallery. The major local attractions
include the Warburton Film Festival, held in June, the Melba Festival in September and the
Warburton Winterfest festival held in June. Warburton is approximately 1.5 hours from Melbourne.
