Main Ridge Wine District

Main Ridge is a rural service centre located south of and inland from Rosebud. The district is formed from the western ridge of Arthurs Seat and the southern hinterland areas inland from the coast. A market also operates on the third Saturday of every month which showcases the local food and wine. The southern part of the locality, alongside Main Creek, is Greens Bush, which is part of the Mornington Peninsula National Park and offers wonderful bushwalking and camping, and has a large diversity of wildlife. The rolling hills are dotted with vineyards and olive groves. Enjoy a cheese platter and other diary prodcuts at Red Hill Cheeses, boutique beers at Red Hill Brewery and lovely fresh-baked bread at Red Hill Bakery. Dine at one of the many winery restaurants in the area such as Vines of Red Hill, Max's at Red Hill Estate, 10 Minutes by Tractor and at the Montalto Vineyard and Olive Grove. Local attractions and events include: # Stonier Wines # Lindenderry at Red Hill # Harvest to Table Festival and the Red Hill Long Lunch held in March # Winter Wine Weekend held in June # Scarecrow Festival held in October # Pinot Week in October # Red Hill Community Market held on the first Saturday of each month (from September to May).

The Mornington Penisula Wine Region includes thirteen districts : Boneo ; Arthurs Seat ; Dromana ; Red Hill ; Shoreham ; Merricks ; Foxeys ; Balnarring ; Tuerong ; Main Ridge ; Moorooduc ; Mt Eliza ; Stanleys.
